COVID-19 has created numerous difficulties for healthcare facilities and residences in Manitoba. Prospective patients and their families have been restricted access to the resources they once had, which include the ability to tour the living environment and its amenities. This shift has created a question mark in the minds of patients and families – they must now accept placement in residences which they have little information about. As Riverview Health Centre believes in creating a home-like, nurturing space which supports residents’ and patients’ quality of life, they partnered with Gryd to develop a long-term, integrated solution to showcase their value.
Solution: 3D Tour and Annotation Tagging
Gryd created an immersive digital experience for Riverview’s state-of-the-art facility, complete with a multi-floor 3D virtual tour, annotation tags and detailed floor plans. The virtual tour allows prospective residents, families and donors to tour the main floor, rehabilitation centre, palliative care unit and other key areas, to offer an engaging experience, build trust with, and bring comfort to those involved.

Trust and comfort. Residents and their families are now equipped with the resources to envision a life at Riverview – a residence that feels like home. The comprehensive virtual tour allows families to envision their loved one in a safe, comforting environment, through a greater understanding of the facility and the luxuries it has to offer.
